Self Care Sunday – “Finding Calm in the Chaos”
Because self-care isn’t about perfect timing.
June got away from me.
Between work, life, and everything that comes with running a small business, this month’s blog almost didn’t happen. For a moment, I thought about skipping it altogether.
But then I realised… maybe that’s exactly what this month’s Self Care Sunday needed to be about.
Self-care isn’t about being perfect. It isn’t about sticking to a routine every single day or never missing a moment. It’s about recognising when life feels chaotic and choosing to come back to yourself anyway.
Whether that’s on the first day of the month or the very last, it still counts.
This month, let’s embrace the idea that it’s never too late to slow down, reset, and give yourself the care you’ve been meaning to.
Focus Topic: Returning Instead of Restarting
We’ve all been there.
Life gets busy, routines slip, and suddenly the habits that once made us feel balanced seem out of reach. It’s easy to fall into the mindset of, “I’ll start again on Monday,” or “I’ll get back into it next month.”
But self-care doesn’t work like that.
You don’t need a new week, a new month, or the perfect circumstances to begin again. You simply need to return.
The smallest rituals often have the biggest impact. Taking a few extra minutes after your shower, slowing your breathing, or nourishing your skin can become a reminder that you’re worthy of care, even on your busiest days.
This month, instead of striving for perfection, focus on consistency.
A few simple ways to return to your routine:
1. Start Small: Choose one simple act of self-care you know you’ll actually do.
2. Be Present: Turn everyday habits into mindful rituals by slowing down and paying attention to the moment.
3. Let Go of Perfection: Missing a day doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Every day is another opportunity to begin again.
Bud Bombs Product Tie-In: CBD Infused Body Butter

Sometimes the best self-care isn’t adding something new, it’s being more intentional with something you already do.
Our CBD Infused Body Butter transforms moisturising into a calming ritual. Rich in nourishing plant butters and oils, it melts effortlessly into the skin, leaving it feeling soft, hydrated and cared for.
This month I’m especially loving our Lemon Body Butter. Its bright, citrus scent is refreshing and uplifting, making it the perfect companion for those moments when life feels a little overwhelming. Taking just a few minutes to massage it into your skin can become a simple reminder to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Key Benefits:
• Shea Butter to deeply nourish and restore dry, tired skin.
• Sweet Almond Oil to soften the skin and help maintain healthy moisture.
• Lemon Essential Oil to provide a bright, uplifting aroma that refreshes the senses and brings a feeling of renewal.
How to use:
After a warm shower or bath, massage a generous amount of body butter into your skin using slow, circular motions. Focus on any areas that feel dry or in need of extra care. Take a few deep breaths as you apply it, allowing this simple routine to become a moment of calm before continuing with your day.
Self Care Ritual: Five Minutes is Enough
1. Put your phone aside for just five minutes and allow yourself to be fully present.
2. Take a warm shower or simply wash your hands and face to create a feeling of freshness.
3. Apply your Body Butter slowly, taking time to massage it into your skin rather than rushing through the routine.
4. Pause and breathe. Inhale deeply, exhale slowly, and allow your shoulders to soften.
5. Finish with gratitude. Think of one thing that’s gone well this week and remind yourself that showing up for yourself even in small ways is always enough.
Closing Note:
Life won’t always slow down when we want it to.
Some months will feel organised and peaceful, while others will race by before we’ve had a chance to catch our breath. That’s part of being human.
The important thing isn’t getting it perfect, it’s remembering that you can always come back.
So if June has felt a little chaotic, let this be your reminder that today is just as good a day as any to choose yourself.
Here’s to finding calm in the chaos, one small ritual at a time.
Until next week, take care of yourself and I’ll see you in July for another Self Care Sunday. 💚
